ABOUT ME
I live in sunny Austin, Texas, bake my own pizzas from scratch, and write for technology companies. Since 2005, I've worked on many hundreds of projects for IBM, AMD, Dell, VMware, Cisco, Zscaler, and many smaller firms.
Among other topics: artificial intelligence/machine learning, security, cloud computing, green design/energy efficiency, the Internet of Things, big data/analytics, service-oriented architecture, best practices frameworks like ITIL, virtualization on mobile devices, and countless vendor-specific solutions.
Project types include Web copy, thought-leadership blogging both as myself and as executives, in-depth articles, podcasts, solution briefs, PowerPoint decks, internal sales messaging, and an enormous number of white papers, many on cloud computing topics like how cloud can enhance business agility.

FEATURED PROJECTS
IBM SMARTER SOFTWARE BLOG ON DB2

IBM asked me to write up some of the cooler things they were doing in software... without using standard corporate phrasing, and maybe even adding a little style. This smorgasbord of topics, forty in all, included security intelligence, accelerated image provisioning, hybrid cloud integration, and others. Fun stuff. This program was run by Mark Miller at IBM.
IBM WEB ARTICLE ON CLOUD APP PERFORMANCE

Cloud offers many benefits, but also introduces certain complexities re optimal app performance. IBM wanted me to discuss those complexities and pitch their APM portfolio in detail as a solution. This program was run by Ken Godfrey at IBM (currently a VP at Philips), and I wrote more than five hundred pieces for them along similar lines.
